THE SKETCHBOOK PROJECT: 2011
I realize that it’s been ages since I’ve updated the site. That’s not to say I haven’t been keeping busy, though. There have been quite a few projects in the works that haven’t made it onto the site; one of which is my contribution to the SKETCHBOOK PROJECT: 2011!
It’s like a concert tour, but with sketchbooks.
Last year, the Brooklyn Art Library had a call for entries, looking for artists to participate in the Sketchbook Project: 2011. Each participating artist would receive a Moleskine sketchbook with a barcode on it, a theme to create the book around, and detailed instructions about the project. My theme was Face in the Crowd.

IT’S SHOWTIME!
Hey everyone!
I am pleased to announce a new artshow featuring 10 of my original paintings!
BIG HEADS – The Portaits of Matt Cauley is now on display at the Potion Cafe through the month of March. Consider yourself cordially invited to the opening reception on Saturday, March 14, from 7pm until 9pm. We’re still working out the details of it, but there will be wine a’flowing…
Potion Cafe is located at 248 McKibbin Street in Brooklyn. If travelling by subway, hop off at either the Montrose or Morgan stops.

ART OPENING: Essex County College
Hey everyone –
I have also been hard at work on a series of new paintings for a book to be published later this year.
In the meantime, though, I am pleased to announce that I will soon be unveiling a handful of paintings, to be showcased at An Evening of Tasting Wines from Around the World! All proceeds going to the ECC Foundation’s Scholarship Fund, so it’s for a good cause.
